The conveying of the reward of physical deeds that do not entail wealth, e.g. The conveying of the reward of charitable deeds.Ģ. There are basically 2 forms of Isaal-e-Sawaab:ġ. Isaal-e-Sawaab (to perform a virtuous act and grant the reward to any person, alive or deceased) is permissible and in fact (Mustahabb) meritorious. One opinion says that the reward does not reach the deceased person and another opinion says that you can send 'Isale sawaab' to the dead by way of Qur'an recitation by making intention of sending the reward to the deceased person. Question 2: There is also a difference of opinion with regards to sending the reward of ones recitation to a deceased person. It is best not to concern yourself with such matters because the nature of the living and the dead are totally different and we will only know its true nature once we are there. But again this is all ONLY by the permission of Allah. There is also evidence that they are aware of whoever visits them outside the grave. Hadhrat Annas (radi Allahu anhu) reports that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Verily, when a person is placed in the grave and when his friends return, then he hears the sound of their footsteps (shoes)". There is also evidence that the dead can hear footsteps: If Allah does not permit it then they will not be able to hear or respond to the salaam. Some scholars say that the dead cannot hear fullstop and some say the dead are given the ability to hear footsteps and also greetings with which they also respond but they can only hear and respond by the permission of Allah. Question 1 and 3: There is a difference of opinion on this matter. This must be avoided.I wanted to ask questions regarding the deadġ) If I make duaa for a dead person, will they be able to hear my duaaĢ) When I read a particular surah lets say surah mulk and I say to Allah 'Ya Allah please send the reward of this surah to this person who is dead' then will Allah send the reward to this dead personģ) If I say to allah while Im making duaa 'Ya Allah please send my salaam to this particular dead person' then will that person hear my salam Nonetheless, it must also be understood that although one may not be able to control his love or heartily inclinations for someone else, neither will he be taken to ask for this, however, it is not permissible to keep a picture or even fantasize about a non-Mahram woman. Furthermore, instead of going to the grave of the deceased, it would be better for the questioner to perform these acts of worship of behalf of the deceased in the comfort of his home. It is also permissible for the questioner to supplicate for her to be with him in paradise, however, it is better for him to ask supplicate to Allah for good and wellbeing in this world and the hereafter. It is permissible for the questioner to perform any type of worship (such as reciting the Qur’an, Zhir, giving charity etc.) as a means of Isal-e-Sawab for the deceased. In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful This is why I want to know whether or not the worship I intend to do for her as Isal-e-Sawab will be accepted. I am asking these questions because we are not Mahram. Can I pray for her to be with me in the hereafter, and for us to be married in paradise? (2) Secondly, can I recite the Qur’an, perform Nawafil prayers or give charity as a means of Isal-e-Sawab for her? (3) Thirdly, Can I go to her grave and recite the Qur’an for her? If you can inform me of any Masnoon supplication or deed that can be done as Isal-e-Sawab for her, I would be very grateful. (1) First of all, she was never married to anyone.
